‘Hands Off’ is a UK-wide campaign defending the need for universal pensioner benefits, including:
- Winter Fuel Payment
- Bus Pass
- TV Licence
- Free Prescriptions
The 'Hands Off' campaign was first launched to protect universal pensioner benefits in the lead up to the general election in May 2015, but the campaign will continue to work to ensure universal pensioner benefits are protected at Westminster and by the devolved nations and local government of the UK.
It is time to convince all political parties that:
- these benefits are essential for achieving a decent standard of living for pensioners in the UK
- means-testing of benefits does not work
- these ‘universal’ benefits are cost-neutral, when considering their positive impact on the health and well-being of our older population
